Elevate 215
A Philadelphia education nonprofit working to increase the number of high-quality schools in the city. They operate Apply Philly Charter, TeachPHL, and Philly Schools Compass.
The Problem:
"Everything was sitting in a static Salesforce database... it's just a warehouse." A decade of program and school performance data spread across a CRM, an accounting system, and dozens of spreadsheets — each holding part of the picture, none of them talking to each other. Answering a cross-cutting question meant weeks of manual reconciliation, so most of those questions went unasked.
The Solution:
The developers built an intelligence layer spanning all three systems, consolidating ten years of history into one source staff can query in plain English. School performance is now analyzable across attendance, demographics, outcomes, and investment per school in a single question. On the finance side, spending is visible by program and grant category and comparable against budget year over year, so discrepancies surface continuously rather than at close. Within the first month, Elevate reorganized its Q2 budget and completed quarter-one adjustments a month ahead of schedule.
Tech Stack:
RDS Database through AWS, sveltekit
The Developers:
Daniel Johnson, Julien Daniel-Roane, and Sean Tate-Webb
Client Feedback:
"We would have had to pay somebody six figures to do this."
Student Behavior Log
An AI-supported system for schools that replaces error-prone, manual workflows to help teachers document interventions consistently and objectively, support restorative practices, and give students visibility into their own records.
The Client:
An educational software provider
The Problem:
Schools relied on fragile Google Sheets workflows to track student behavior and coordinate interventions. The process was manual and error-prone. Auditing was difficult. Students had little visibility into what was being documented.
The Solution:
An AI-supported system integrated with, and designed to look like, the existing Learning Management System that helps schools document behavior, coordinate interventions, and maintain consistent, neutral language aligned with their theory of change.
Tech Stack:
Next.js, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Playlab AI
The Developers:
Jamir Ong and Kevin Tellez-Torres
Client Feedback:
“The developers identified opportunities to improve the design and suggested enhancements we hadn't even considered. They delivered a solution that was both more scalable and better designed than what we originally envisioned. ”
”Launchpad’s final product is amazing. They took what was in my head with little input from me and created exactly what I needed. I would recommend them to anyone.
